Jessica Briggs

Jessica Briggs is a Senior Creative Director of Aetna, a CVS Health company, leading the visual brand direction for B2B and B2C communications across print and digital. Responsibilities include evolving and expanding the Aetna brand strategy and vision to support new lines of business associated with the integration of the CVS Health brand. Oversee and elevate the creative talent and capabilities of a team of 20+ creative directors, art directors and designers.

Prior to working at Aetna, Jessica was president of Ampersand Branding, Inc., located in Boston, Massachusetts, founded in 2004. Under her ownership as an accomplished brand strategist and creative director, the company has earned it’s prestige in branding companies in industries including biotech, real estate, hospitality, financial services, and healthcare.

As president of Ampersand Branding, Jessica and her team were responsible for a wide range of services including ideation, strategy, branding, graphic design, copy writing, logo + name development, web development and social media. Some of her clients include InterContinental Hotels, Extell Development, Glenmede Investments, Margaritaville-Caribbean, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Sheridan Healthcare. She also worked with a not-for-profit organization called ITDI (International Trauma and Disaster Institute), supporting their efforts to educate teams of doctors traveling the world to save people in disasters such as the World Trade Center terrorist attack, the earthquake in Haiti, the London bombings, the Iran earthquake, and many others.

Prior to starting Ampersand Branding, Jessica was a partner, creative director and member of the board of directors of Trinity Communications, a prominent, 90 person, Boston, advertising agency, managing $8 million in revenue annually. She created and directed award-winning designs and marketing communications for brands such as Stride Rite, Fleet, Boston Private Bank, Bessemer Trust, Liberty Mutual, Le Meridien Hotels, Seaport Hotel, and Leading Hotels of the World.

In addition to working with for-profit clients, 30% of her time was donated to the community, branding organizations including NCCJ (National Center for Community and Justice) a human relations organization that promotes inclusion and acceptance by providing education and advocacy while building communities that are respectful and just for all. As well as Jane Doe, Inc., an organization that supports social change for victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

While working at Trinity Communications, Jessica was a member of the board of directors for the Arts and Business Council, a not-for-profit organization supporting partnerships between corporations and arts organizations.

Jessica graduated valedictorian from the Rhode Island School of Design.
